Recently, two students from Hangzhou No.4 High School have been selected by Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology and China Association for Science and Technology as Chinese delegates (4 students in total in China) to attend the 28th National Danish Science Fair Unge Forskere (Young Scientist) in Copenhagen, Denmark. ZOU Xinyi’s research project “Molecular Mechanism of Insulin Resistance in Intrauterine Growth Retardation” has won second class prize after three-day public subject exhibition and half-day closed defense and examination. This is the highest prize Chinese team has got in this competition. Prince Joachim of Denmark and Minister of Ministry of Education of Denmark presented prizes to each winner.
National Danish Science Fair Unge Forskere (Young Scientist) is one of China Association for Science and Technology’s international scientific and technological exchange projects for adolescents. It is guaranteed and authorized by Danish Royalty, and hosted by Ministry of Education of Denmark. As one of the world’s top scientific and technological activities for adolescents like Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, European Union Contest for Young Scientists, International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment Project Olympiad and London International Youth Science Forum, the competition includes projects in Chemistry, Environment, Biology, Math, Physics, Medicine, Engineering, Biochemistry and other subjects and has certain impact worldwide.
